Credit Reports

Did you know that you are entitled to a free copy of your credit report each year from each of the three major credit bureaus? You can order your free annual credit report using one of the three methods below:

1.  Online at http://www.annualcreditreport.com/
2.  By calling 877-322-8228 or
3.  By completing the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mailing it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

Credit Repair

It is important to review your credit reports at least once each year. Sometimes information in credit reports may be out of date or inaccurate. You are entitled to have such outdated or inaccurate information removed from your report. You must write to the credit bureau asking them to reinvestigate and confirm such information. When you order your credit report, the three major creditor bureaus each provide you with a form you can use to dispute outdated and inaccurate information. Generally, they must reinvestigate at your request within 30 days. You may find that you need to be very persistent in getting your credit report corrected,
